Where has the time gone?
I can not believe that it is almost November. The past two weeks flew by without me knowing it. Not really, just let blog updates drop lower and lower on the to do list. I had the best intentions to make daily posting but that has not worked. I guess I have to put it in the planner and start fineing myself for not posting. Ha!
I have been busy cutting and grinding panels. Also getting ready for the holiday season at Ellipse. I was in an All Member Show at Del Ray. Classes at Lorton and Belvoir are going great. They were are great students. My next class at Lorton starts in January after month and half break, it will be strange not to see them on Wednesday nights. I am in th process of trying to get accepted for instructor for adulted stained glass instructor, keep your fingers crossed. I am very excited. Also doing a show in Arlington in December.
Looking back, I wish I had taken photos for the last six years of each student and their project. What a gallery that would have been! A learning experience, take the camera to class then you can not regret it, right? Also I could recorded porgress as same students stayed in class for many series.
Th yard is filling up with leaves, did I tell you we only have three trees in our yard. Two under 20′ and a huge pine. The leaves fall from the neighbors’ trees. I need to get out there with the mower and mulch. I hope to find mulch for the trees beside our driveway. Need to ask the owners of the trees is they mind if I cover the plastic landscaping cover. Everytime I drive down the driveway I see the plastic poking out and it drives me batty. Also need to do work in garden behind house, the weeds have taken over. Tom, my neighbor to the north, and I have talked about cleaning up the property line and trees and shrubs out front we share. I also need to get up in the attic and remove the boxes of papers from the 1950-1960′s the owners from 2 sales ago left.
Oh man do I find things to fill my creative time with time sucking activities. I need to discipline myself more. That might be a lost cause.
