Getting ready for August Featured Artist at Lorton
Sorry I have been not keeping up with the blog. I am one of the Featured Artist in Gallery 9 at Lorton Workhouse for August. I have also been finishing up a custom order of stained glass side lights. I had to reorder the clear glass as some was from a different lot and had a green tint, it took two weeks to get all matching clear glass. The sidelights look great.
I have also been making panels and finishing up stained glass and pottery shard pendants. A new commission is on the drafting table. I was gifted three wonderful display cases from Patricia Woodhouse after she closed her bead store, Bead Obsessions. Thank you Patricia- one is in the Gallery and two are in my studio. Speaking of studio, my studio is really shaping up. There are still things I want to do and make of course. I have become pretty good with the circular saw. And I love my glass band saw. I used it to cut two more service stars, the first two turned out so nicely and people have been asking for them.
If only I had more hours in the day then I could make all the projects on my honey do list.
