Hard to believe six weeks of summer art camp are done. The time flew by. I wish I had photos of the kids and their projects but because of privacy I could not take any pictures. There were three sessions of two weeks with kids 5 to 10 years old. We met for ten days and did new projects each and every day. There was even a little girl that attend two sessions! I had kids in the first session say they were going to make jewelry when they grew up, here's to hoping.
I did learn a lot about myself. At first the younger kids were hard to handle, I forgot how five year olds work and think. As time wore on I fell in love with teaching youngsters all over again. At the end of each session I was sad to see the kids go abut excited to meet the new batch of kids, Now it is all over and I am going through kid withdrawal! Say it ain't so Kim! Can you believe it? Yes it is true.
I love to teach. And now I realize that is a very important part of my business, teaching both young and older. I am always afraid that I am an overbearing instructor but the reviews I receive at different venues say different. My students love my teaching style and how I let them learn but step in if they are about to mess up. I guess the seven years of homeschooling and sixteen years of being a Girl Scout Leader helped me develop into the instructor I am today. Thank you opportunties of the past!
Since I have no photos from class I will leave you with the following photo.....
