Oh my goodness First Friday at Art Happens on Tarboro February 2 was amazing.
The week before Heidi helped me hang all 100 collages. We ran out of wall space so some went on shelves with little easels. It was wonderful to see them all out and displayed for the world to see. (Oh it is really my world here in the studio) I might say I was proud of myself even! Thank you Heidi for all your help.
The opening went really well- many friends came to see the show and hangout and visit. I was honored my NP came to see the show with some of her family. And she bought the first collage. Thank you Janelle.
I was shocked to turn around and see Terresa and her daughter Cassie from Virginia. I could not believe they drove all the way to see the show and me of course. Thank you Terresa and Cassi! It was so good to see you and get a visit in.
It has been ages since I had a Solo Show, probably 2014 if I remember correctly. It felt so good and I already have ideas for future shows- Student Works, Featured Artist Shows and more.
There is still time to see the 100 Days of Collage Show, so stop by before February 29.
Thank you to all the friends that stopped by the Opening. Your support means the world to me.
