First Stained Glass Class
The first stained glass class is a mix of getting to know the instructor, me, and fellow students. We will be spending between 7 to 12 weeks together so it nice to get to know everyone a little up front.
Then I will cover types of glass, tools-safety, how to use, what to use. Then you will learn to cut glass, it will be clear glass which is great for practice and to build confidence.
The next step is picking the pattern for your first project, there are 14 different patterns to choose from. They are 12” x 16”, I believe if you end up only doing one stained glass project in your life it should be big enough to be seen in your window.
The patterns will be prepared for the second class- numbered pieces and one copy cut out to be glues on your glass.
Finally we will discuss where you can purchase the glass for your project and the supplies needed. You will purchase these items before the second class.
Any queastions or concerns will be covered during class. I am available via phone or email between classes.
And that is the first class in a nutshell.
Sometimes there are returning students in the class and they will be working on projects of their choice as they expanding their knowledge. Feel free to ask them questions you have about their experience in class, they will be more than willing to share what they have learned.
On my Classes and Event Page on my website you can find up coming classes.
