Monday Madness!

Today was a crazy day! I had three appointments today and they all were flops. First one was to drop off finished pieces for a fellow artists but he was not in his studio. Luckily I was able to leave them at front desk so he can get them tomorrow. Then off to a boutique for a 1 pm  appointment to see if they will take my pieces in their shop. Well they never showed up and show was supposed to be open today. A sign?  And number three was transferring my 401K over to another company but found out the I did not get to keep the 401K because I was not vested because I was not there 5 years. What?

OK, time to move on and get onto the next task. I did mail my daughter Meagan's Christmas gifts! Yes I know it is late but better late than never.  And now I get to sit in front of the fire and writing my January Newsletter.watching Bomb Girls. It is a good day after all.

What did you do this last Monday of 2014?

Merry Christmas !

I can not believe it is Christmas Eve, actually when I look over at the clock it is already Christmas! Where did the time go?

I am waiting for the Pumpkin Pudding to finish steaming so I can go to bed and Santa can come. I am still excited as I was as a child. Christmas is still wonderful to me, though I do not have my parents to share it with, along with all the relatives and friends that have passed away. I try not to thing about it but I still carry them in my heart and always will.

Tomorrow when we come downstairs there will be stockings to empty and presents to unwrap, a great meal and phone calls to make to family far and near. We will watch the Outlander marathon starting at 3 pm! I am going to try to sneak in some stained glass time as I need to get pieces ready for an upcoming show at Del Ray Artisans in Alexandria.

What are your Christmas Day traditions? Are you cooking or is someone cooking for you? Are you making any art today?

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you!

Last Craft Fair of year done!

Well tonight I sit in front of a fire in the fireplace and have my feet up because today was the last day of the last craft fair of the year! I am one tired stained glass producing artist. I am going to take a couple of days off and organize my studio for the New Year.
I am very happy with this past year and all the wonderful opportunities that came my way. I learned new things and look forward to learning more in the new year. I want to tank all my patrons over this past year, without you on my team I would not be where I am today, thank you!

With nine days left ( when we wake up tomorrow) what am I going to do to make 2014 a year to remember? I have a couple of ideas and will be giving you updates.

What are are you going to do you with your nine days of 2014? Post a comment and let me know.

One more shopping weekend until Christmas!

This was a busy weekend for me, two craft fairs down and one to go. I had a great weekend, met lots of patrons, `neat artists and rekindled friendships from the past. I did get some leads on shows for next year and some repair jobs.

This weekend I am at the Holiday Market at Del Ray Artisans in Alexandria, Friday night 69 pm, Saturday 10 am- 4 pm and Sunday 12-4 pm. There will over 15 artists selling wonderful gift giving ideas for others or for yourself! Check it out on the DRA website www.thedelrayartisans.org Happy Shopping to you!
I am so happy this holiday season. My studio is buzzing with activity and the plans for the new year are shaping up. I am so lucky to wake up everyday and go to work at a job I love and get to spend time with people who love what I do.

How are your plans shaping up for the holiday season? Are you staying home? Are you traveling? Are you done shopping? Or are you waiting till the last minute to nab good deals? I had a dream that I waited until after Christmas sales to get great deals and my family celebrated on December 27! Crazy!

Wishing you peace, love and health in this holiday season!

So it is here again.... Wacky Wednesday. Spent the day gallery sitting at ArtBeat Gallery in Manassas. I did some Christmas shopping while I was there. Knocked out 5 but they might end up under my tree for me! I love that little gallery.
