3 Shopping Days left until Christmas!

Can you believe it that there only 3 days left until Christmas? Where did the time go? Are you ready?

I mailed out the presents that need to go out of state, two have made it so far, fingers crossed the rest arrive in time. I still need to get things for the people in town. Hope there are still things in the stores when I get there! Maybe I should give them stained glass or jewelry.

So what are you hoping Santa will bring you?  I would love warm weather! Maybe some CDs like Adele 25 and Emile Sande- hint, hint! When I think about there is nothing that I really need so I will be happy with whatever ends up in the stocking and under the tree. I know the studio dogs and cat will be happy with their stocking stuffers, they always love all the yummies that Santa brings.

What are you doing for the holidays? Staying in town or traveling? Family coming in? We are staying here. Patrick decorated for the holidays as he has for past three years. He does a good job, but is all in the living room and it is a little overloaded! He brought it to my attention I could decorate! I think I will take the hint next year. Love you Pat.

I am so looking forward to 2016. I have been sketching like a mad woman and can not wait to start production. I am also getting ready for some shows in January and February, one in each month. I dropped some of my flatwear bracelets off at Local Colour in Old Town Alexandria.

My studio schedule still has a some openings if you want to sign up for stained glass or jewelry classes at my home studio. Just let me know what you want to work on and we can set something up. I am planning on having monthly specials/sales so keep your eye out of that. If you sign up for my newsletter you will get advance notice on the sales.

What are your big plans for 2016? I will be posting my wish list for 2016 closer to New Year's, still working on the list. I am wishing us all awesome and prosperous New Year.

Leave a comment or send me an email to let me know what you are up to and what your plans for the new year are.

Happy Holidays! Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!

Jewelry Display- what to do when it does not fit in a jewelry box!

So you all know I make jewelry, right? Of course you so!

Over the years I have made a lot and but my nature I keep a lot! Instead of hiding it all away in jewelry boxes I have it displayed, somewhat, in my bedroom. I thought I would share some photos with you do you could see what I have and different ways to display it.

First is the Earring Frame. It is an antique frame with window screening stapled in it and the earrings hung in the screening. Very easy to make and I use it for display in my studio, shows and fairs all the time.

Next is the Necklace and Bracelet Display. The first one was a very small version of this rack. I believe they are really for mugs and first one had like 12 pegs. When I saw this one at the Thrift Shop I knew I had to have it. At first it was not full but as time has passed, well you know the story, build it and they will come!

Don't worry there are more.... in two jewelry boxes and a drawer in my dresser. Some pieces are in boxes to protect them form what I do not know. After looking at all this, this morning I realized I have enough jewelry to not where the same piece again for at least a year if not longer.

Maybe it is time to have a release party? And release them out into the world. What do you think?

I would love to hear how you display your jewelry, send me a quick email with a photo if you would like to share.

Have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend!
