I spend the early morning working on emails , my mail box is down to 17 from 86! I have a problem keeping the number down. There are still items I need to deal with and some reminders that need to be kept until I reply. I have heard that there are people who get their mailbox down to ZERO everyday. How? I want to know. If I put the reminders in folders that I don't see the reminder and forget!
I also found out that the puppy, Gordon, is afraid of riding toys. He spent about an hour throughout the day barking at it. Yes my neighbors do love me. He likes to go out a lot during the day so my pedometer logged lots of steps, bonus.
Studio Time today was grinding and wrapping pieces for the upcoming show Rescue Me" at the Alexandria Animal Welfare League. Tomorrow after breakfast with Terresa, I will solder them. There are two dogs, a Lab and a Beagle and one cat. During the show that is hanging now my Border Collie piece sold during the Opening Reception.
Since my last post, I attend Art on the Avenue on October 4, the weather was chilly. I wish I had worn different shoes, like hiking boots with thick socks. My frost bit toes were screaming! I had great neighbors and lots of wonderful visitors. I did get some repair gigs on the side. I do love this venue. I need to find that item that will sell like gangbusters though. Lots of looking and comments but not the commitment of last year.
Sunday October 5 I went to Woodboro, MD for the NCAGG (National Capitol Art Glass Guild) Meeting. It was a crazy ride up. I got lost and drove around the same area for nearly an hour on top of running out of gas and having to hike to find help! Where were my Girl Scout skills when I needed them? Hell if I know! I did finally get to the meeting and enjoyed the potluck. The meeting went fast as everyone was waiting anxiously for the Auction. I was able to walk away with 6 boxes of stained glass, a lamp base, antique pre-cut lampshade kit, meter box for cutting framing and rails for layout of panels. It was a great day because I got to see old friends: Jean, Pat and Sue. The ride home was much quicker.
Hope you had a wonderful Thursday and that the weekend is great!
