I am able to work in the medium of my choice and experiment and see how much I can grow and stretch the possibilities of glass. I get to meet wonderful people through teaching, many students have become long time friends, through commissions- many people willing to let me design and create a piece just for them and the numerous customers that have bought pieces from me.
I amso proud of my work and how much I have grown as artist since 1982. I did not think I would be still doing stained glass 34 years later. There were years when my art was put on the back burner due to numerous moves and not having a proper place to work. Fast forward and in 2014 I had my screened in porch closed and weatherized so I could work in there. This was a huge change from the the garage space that I had to take down every day I used it in Florida, the lanai in Hawaii, the potting shed and room with no heat that I used in Springfield and the studio in a former prison. I have come a long way.
My studio is my happy place.
